Greetings and welcome, As I mentioned in my last post I had a free weekend with my flatmates away in Liverpool till Sunday and I certainly enjoyed it, it has been like a harbinger of my future as I am likely to be living alone. While it was nice to have the place to myself it did highlight somethings which I had never considered before and some things which I will have to work on, but overall it was a relaxing week and weekend allowing me to test my skills at independent living. With the world snooker championships on at the moment and the end of the football season I had a sports watching weekend. Talking of television there was little on over the weekend except the marvelous Juliette Binoche in the Barbican’s production of Sophocles’s ‘Antigone‘ a classic work and which for me was the televisual highlight of the weekend. Monday has been a hive of activity with the Gas heating people coming early this morning and finally finishing off our heating and water system Hurrah!
I am thinking about what TV show to review this week for the blog and have a few shows in mind, I am holding off posting my tirade against the worst thing on TV ‘GoogleBox‘ as I want to watch a few episodes to make sure I don’t slam it unfairly. Also Nordicana 2015 is set for June 6th 7th a two day event showcasing all the Scandinavian dramas and films like ‘The killing‘ ‘Borgen‘ ‘The Bridge‘ etc I went to last years event and it was amazing so I am planning on going again this year and will of course write a review for you, the only confirmed star so far is Sofie Garbøl the actress who played Sarah Lund in the Killing and more recently the Governor of ‘Fortitude Island’ in a show of the same name. Having barely stepped outside the lounge(living room) of my house let alone actually outside there is little to report on what has been happening. Finally this week sees the start of my health drive and exercise regime starting I plan to do 3 workouts a week with an extra cardio session on top, I will keep you informed as to how that is going naturally, so until next time
